The Rottenstein Law Group monitors NuvaRing lawsuits carefully following a report that bellwether trials were delayed until July 2013. The multidistrict litigation (MDL - 1964) was created in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri and assigned to Judge Rodney W. Sippel to consolidate pretrial proceedings after more than 1,000 NuvaRing lawsuits were filed by claimants across the country.

The first trials were originally set to begin in 2012, but were postponed on several occasions. The Rottenstein Law Group maintains a NuvaRing Lawsuit Information Center to help those who believe they have been injured best determine the next steps for determining if they have a case.

“It’s unfortunate that the first trials have been pushed back,” said Rochelle Rottenstein, principal of the Rottenstein Law Group, “because it puts off the potential recovery for the injured, but if the delay means that the parties will be better prepared to present their cases to the court, then additional time can be a good thing.”
